Joel showed us the exact price of the Santa Fe. He spoke with someone concerning our trade in, a 2003 Hyundai Accent, which we had purchased new in 2003. We were immediately given a trade in amount...sight un-seen. There was no haggling. It was an honest and fair agreement. All paperwork was completed in a timely manner on Sunday September 16, with Armando. Armando was equally, friendly and professional. I don't have enough good things to say about Salem Ford Hyundai. I started my search for a new vehicle knowing I had poor credit and no prior loan history. I was fully prepared to go with a used vehicle with a terribly high APR. But in an effort to do my due diligence and investigate every option, I went to Salem Ford Hyundai. I was surprised to find out that purchasing a new vehicle would be more cost-effective for me. Please note, I was NOT "upsold" into purchasing a new car over a used one. In fact, going in I wanted a new car. SFH simply made it possible. And with a low APR. (Low in comparison to the 4 other dealers that gave me quotes.) I would recommend anyone in search of a new (or used) vehicle visit Salem Ford Hyundai.
Excellent car buying experience at Salem Ford Hyundai. I made an appointment in advance and Austin was waiting at the door for me when I arrived. Everyone there made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. I was a little nervous about financing, but they made it happen and I left with my new car that very same day. I had such a great experience that about two months later I brought my mom in to get her some new wheels. Again, we worked with Austin and Armando and it was just as easy the second time. They will have my repeat business.
Excellent buying experience. I contacted the dealer online and requested a quote for a 2013 Sonata SE. The price was well below the MSRP, the cheapest in the area. My wife and I took the car for a test drive the same day. Nancy, the sales person, was courteous and knowledgeable. After a brief negotiation for the trade in value of my 2007 Camry, we reached an agreement, completed the paperwork and drove home in our new Sonata.

I was in the market for a good used pickup truck and happened to find one for sale at the dealership. I contacted them to find out if the truck was still available and spoke with Chris who informed me that it was and he invited me to drop by and see it. My dad and I arrived late in the evening but Chris still took the time to show us the truck and answer all our questions. After test driving the truck and going over the specifics I decided to buy it. Chris made this process very smooth and stayed with it even though it was actually past closing time. We picked up the truck the followind day and I was even more impressed with its quality. Everyone who has come in contact with it, including the mechanic who inspected it, has remarked as to what a nice vehicle it is. My name is Steve Kelley and my wife and I went in there looking for 2 new vehicles with not so great credit. Initially I talked to DJ since I had been referred to him by a friend. When I went in on a Sunday, Chad was ready to help us. Chad referred me to Chris, as he was going to be my salesman. Chris is a huge asset to Portsmouth Chevy. There was no pressure at all. He was very knowledgeable and made our experience one where we will be return customers and we will send everyone we know to you guys because he made us feel right at home. When we left there, we left with our fingers crossed. Come Monday, DJ, Chad and John worked all day to get me financed for 2 brand new vehicles and managed to stay in the price range I had originally hoped for. Come 4 o'clock Monday afternoon, I got the call from DJ that My wife and I would be able to come get our new cars! We were able to go in that night and sign paper work for our brand new cars. Chris even came in on his day off to make sure he was there for us in case we needed him. He even sat in our cars after we purchased them and helped set up the OnStar and went over all the functions. He told us to explore the cars for the week and when we went in on Saturday for the inspection stickers, he would be there to answer any questions we may have. Sure enough, he was there when my wife got there and took care of everything. And then came back into our cars and answered all of our questions. Below I have copied and pasted my recent e-mail to Erica Kinney, Sales specialist, to sum up my total experience with Portsmouth Chevy and all the wonderful staff that so surpassed my expectations in the purchase of my new vehicle. Thank you so much for everything!
Dear Ms. Kinney,
Where to begin? Over the last year and a half, I have known that I needed to consider getting another vehicle and down sizing from the maintenance of two vehicles, that were, due to age (i.e. 8yrs old), and although having been maintained regularly and kept in good running order, were beginning to mount up in repair costs related to the wear and tear expected with increasing mileage.
I was looking at this as a dreaded chore with the thought of having to deal with dealerships and high pressure salesman, and, being a single woman, the vulnerability and uncertainty of compromising my financial limits to possibly wind up struggling to support a long term finance in a vehicle that might be less than what my original standards and goals were in meeting this expectation.
i slowly began putting my feelers out last fall. Looked on line, talked with people, and started at the Toyota dealership in Epping. This turned out to be the start of what I had in my mind, to be the beginning of that dreaded chore. Had they worked with me in regard to my pre-set financial limits, which, we all have if we are responsible within our means, I most certainly would have left in a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. Nice vehicle, good product, but, to me, it paled in comparison to my "03" Silverado. I would have lived with it okay but, in the back of my mind, it still wasn't everything I was looking for. There were no incentives and in terms of trade in value on my "03" Wrangler and my "03" Silverado, they were substandard by at least $4,000.00.
I spent the entire day there, had to bring both vehicles down for viewing and test drives and to make matters worse, they picked away at trivial issues in regards to the wear of the soft top, over 8 yrs, and POTENTIALS, not even current issues, but potentials of problems that might occur due to age, to justify their trade in values. NEVER DO THIS! They lost my business right at that juncture. Any issues, or POTENTIALS, they talked about, I knew could be managed in a few hours in their repo garage for little to no money and they would most certainly make up the difference on sale once the vehicles hit their lot. They even went as far as to insinuate my mechanic was doing work on the vehicles that were only costing me money and not resolving issues and that I shouldn't allow this. My mechanic happens to be a personal friend of mine and a neighbor. To me this was way out of line. And, to boot, the monthly payment on the Tacoma was over $100.00 more than what I had stated I could comfortably afford. I left feeling as though I had not met their expectations.
There you have it! Needless to say, I was not looking forward to this venture, by any means, feeling that this encounter was just a prelude to what I was going to endure in the long haul of my search.
A little over a week ago, I received an e-mail from my GM card indicating that I had a $2,000.00 topped off bonus points toward the purchase of a new GM vehicle. The site put me on line to several dealerships, including Portsmouth Chevy. Being a local dealership, and out of curiosity, I logged into what might be available for 2011 Silverado's knowing that, going into a new year, most dealerships will offer good deals to release the prior years stock. It brought up the 2011 Chevy Silverado LT, 4x4, extended cab, short bed, pretty much identical to what I had, except new, of course, for $27,717.00, after $5,005.00 rebate. Another incentive was a $1,000.00 trade in value not included in this.
Well, I started to think. Wonder what I would get for a trade in on my vehicles, both GM products, and with the $2,000 bonus from my GM card, and with their incentives, that maybe I should look into it. I was VERY skeptical, and truthfully, was not looking forward to it based on my recent encounter with the Toyota dealership.
I was going to Portsmouth last Sunday, 1/8/12, to return a Christmas gift at the Mall, so, I told myself, while you're down there, stop in and just talk to them. Stick to your guns, make it plain and simple and if it feels like pressure or intimidation, as politely as you can, just remove yourself.
It turned out to be the BEST experience I could have EVER hoped for. The first person I encountered was John McSharry. He truly made it all possible and made it all work. I don't know if he could read my sentiments by my presentation, but, he greeted himself and asked if he could help me. I remember taking a deep breath and slowly and calmly explained to him my quest in the search of a new vehicle. At that point he asked me what I was comfortable with in terms of monthly payments. From there we went to work on things. No pressure, no driving prices up, no compromising. At every step he kept reassuring, we can do something for you. And, with all the team, they did! He spent several hours with me and, from start to finish, it was all about getting me what I came for. With 6,005.00 in rebates and a $13,000.00 trade in on my vehicles, they sent me home in a beautiful 2011 Chevy Silverado LT, 4x4, with 19 mi. on it, topped it off with gas and even took the trade in on my old Silverado, site unseen. The payment was $266.00 a mo., $16.00 more than my limit, however, all in all I was pleased with the trade off. On my way home, I realized that I had forgotten to mention the $2,000 bonus points on my GM card. I thought, oh, Linda, you messed up. Well, John had given me his cell number, so, I told myself, give him a call and just talk to him about it and see if there is something that it can be applied toward to make it up. This was about 5:30 pm or so. John said, well, let me make a call and if I can reach this person tonight, I will let you know if we can do anything. Your paperwork has not gone through yet, so, I'll see what I can do.
Within 15 minutes, he called back and said, "Linda, we can do something for you with this. Come in tomorrow around 2:00 pm and we'll put together new sales agreement with ANOTHER $2,000.00 in rebate." Amazing, I was soooo happy. He could hear my elation on the phone, I'm sure. I told him he was my Christmas present, that I hadn't gotten one this year. I told him he should have a great evening knowing that he did something special for someone!
I went back the next day and Jon Miele, another amazing person, who put my original paperwork together, went through it all with me again and, with the extra $2,000 rebate, it allowed me to afford the Paint and Fabric treatment and stay within my limit of $250.00 mo. Even better, it turned out to be $248.00 a month and I did get EVERYTHING, and even more than what I originally set for my goal.
I never expected for this to happen this way. It really was all about getting me what I wanted, within my means, and no holes barred, I would leave there no more than totally satisfied. They would not settle for any less than that! I can't remember everyones name who helped me that day and the following day, but, I most assuredly want them all to know how grateful I am for their courtesy and patience in taking me through this. They even let my dog Tiger come in out of the cold while they handled the "03" Wrangler brought in for trade.
I have much to learn with this new technologically advanced Silverado, but, I know I am only a phone call away from ANY assistance I might need now or in the future. I am telling everyone I know about it and my GREAT experience with Portsmouth Chevy and their wonderful staff. I told John, I am referring ALL of my relatives, (I come from a VERY large family), friends and acquaintances to them.
I know this is a VERY long expletive of my experience with Portsmouth Chevy, but, I wanted to get it all in to make sure the fine details of my experience are noted and that the individuals who all played a part in this experience are all recognized for their service to me and how MUCH I appreciate their efforts in a successful, yet, first dreaded venture. I am in the health care profession, and, I know how often things go unnoticed and are taken for granted. I wanted to make sure that didn't happen here.

I went there to test drive a new Santa Fe, 2012. I fell in love with the V6 limited, with 276hp. I was amazed at how much pickup this vehicle had compared to the CRV/Honda which had no power. The inside of the Santa Fe impressed me greatly with the moonroof, voice activated navigational, USB ports, easy to use features--what a luxury vehicle with a real sporty feel. Lois, my salesman was very knowledgable and I even asked him to drive it after I did so I could see how well it rode from sitting in the passenger seat.
I was blown away with the speed in an SUV!!! He told me i should get about 26 mpg, on the ECO mode. I didn't believe him because I had a Honda Odyssey and never saw anything close to that. I will have to say that Lois was Right!! I am getting close to 30mpg on most highway trips, and I have seen 33 mpg as well. The ride is fantastic--and I will be forever grateful to this dealership for their honesty -- non pressure -- great demo --

My neighbors referred me to this dealership. I am very happy I had an opportunity to go and buy from them. I spent three months looking for a replacement of my Honda Odyssey and fell in love with the Santa Fe immediately.
I recently had my explorer serviced at Salem Ford. I have never received such exceptional service for car repairs. I actually delayed calling for the repair appointment because it is usually very inconvenient. I knew specifically what part needed to be replaced and made the initial call to check if the part was available and what the cost would be. I spoke with Mike. Even though it was apparent that he was very busy, he was extremely nice and apologetic, asking if he could call me back in a few minutes with the information. When he called back, he not only had the information i needed, but worked with me around my schedule to actually get my car in that day! I was very pleased that i was able to bring the car in at about 5pm without having to rearrange my schedule. The part being replaced was the blend door actuator, which requires the entire dashboard be removed in order to replace it. I never expected to have it back the same day. I spoke with Mike again. He didn't make any false promises, just told me they would do their best and it would possibly be the next day, which was fine. Mike was in touch with me twice during the repair to advise me of a small problem that was found and taken care of. Less than 3 hours after I dropped the car off, Mike called to say everything was all set and the car was ready! I was amazed! I have since referred a friend to your service department, and he received exceptional service as well.
I have never written a review on any product or service before, and I usually avoid doing surveys if at all possible. I arrived home last week to a message on my answering machine that Salem Ford was calling to do a survey. I was hoping they would try again, but didn't receive another call to participate. I took the time to write this review, because the staff in the service department took the time to provide exceptional customer service.
I have never been treated as well at any other car dealership than I was at Salem Hyundai. I have bought 2 other cars new and at those dealerships I was "talked down" to. I have to say Coco treated me with respect from the minute I stepped out of my car. I work in retail so I know how important it is to treat the customer well. Coco answered all my questions, and he showed me all about the car I chose. I really have to say everyone he introduced me to was helpful and very nice. As for recommending your dealership, I have already told every one I talked to about my new car how well I was treated there. Even thought I am repeating myself, I really have to stress how well I was treated, and I am looking forward to returning back to the dealership for when I need my car serviced.
I never enjoyed car shopping. The sales people were pushy and did not seem to care about what I wanted. I am so happy I went to Ford Hyundai in salem Nh. Cindy (sales person) was so friendly and helpful. She never pushed us to look at anything we were not interested in, and helped us to find the perfect car for our daughter. The manager who helped us was also terrific to work with. I am going back to the dealer this week for another vehicle. I want to congratulate you on the great service you provide.

Got the lowest price on my LineX
I called a few places that do spray on bedliners (linex, rhino) and shopped prices. These guys were the lowest price. Then when I was talking to the guy at the desk he said I should check out their website and for a coupon. $35 off! He already had the lowest price and got me another $35. I'd recommend this place to anyone who need a good bedliner.
